Today we will start fresh (once again...and it probably won't be the last time!)
Every night since the month of December began (all 4 days ago) we have been having miniature Christmas devotionals. I came across a blog a few weeks ago where a gal posted a list of daily devotionals. It's been nice to sing songs around the Christmas tree and to all be reminded of the true miracle that is Christmas.
Last night the girls got a big kick out of Corky and I allowing them to stay up a little later than normal and flipping the channel back and forth between "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer" and the tree light celebration at Rockefeller center. It was fun to sit in the dark house (thank you Gracey) and only have the lights from the Christmas tree and the tv on. Gracey and Emily both sat on the couches the entire time and seemed to really enjoy it.
Sidenote- Can you believe how mean, even the teacher, is to Rudolph in the movie? Poor Rudolph.

My favorite moment of the evening though, perfect to end the night, was when we happened to be on NBC channel just as the countdown to light the tree began. As soon as the lights turned on, Gracey said in her most serious whisper "Wowwwwww! That's beautiful!" Followed by Emily saying not so reverently "Oh my goodness!"

LOL that is so cute! I can't believe Emily can say "Oh my goodness!" That would melt my heart! It's good to have you back in the blogging world.
Precious! I love the way you and Corky make each minute count with the kids and have such special times. You are great parents and how nice for you to have such fun times with them. We are so proud of you and love you dearly.
This makes me want a family SO freaking bad! Well...my own family...ah but it can wait!
Oh how cute! Dont you love when they get so excited this time of year, its makes it so fun!
Awwww. So cute. Sounds like you've been having a great time with the kids. I love the idea of the devotionals. I heard about this lady who would read the Book of Luke every December - until Christmas comes. There are 24 chapters in the book - one for each night. Anywho, Luke is kinda a hard read for the kids so I might just steal your idea and do the devotionals instead!
Your a good momma!
Sounds like the most perfect night!
Those Christmas devotionals sound neat :) I have completely caught the Christmas Bug this year, it might have somethign to do with the age of Liv and Elsa--it's so fun to see their excitment. I can see you're getting lots of that with Gracey and Emily.
Morgan! How are you?!?! I just saw a pic of Bailey and she's married!?! Wow, I feel really old! I'm glad I found you on here! I feel like I haven't seen you in like 10 years! You still look gorgeous though!
We and our blogs all at some point have a little down time. There is nothing wrong with it. But, we're glad to have you back!
