(Now I realize that a lot of the times with pictures, less is more...but I can't help but have a picture overload! And if someone wants to give me a lesson in photoshop of how to do my own collages, you are more than welcome to!)
Today has been such a fun-filled day and it is only 1pm! We started off the morning with a dusting of snow of course. We then headed to the library for the special Christmas story time, where the children were read to, given reindeer hats, then sugar cookies to decorate. We had a blast and the whole room seemed cheery because of the snow that hadn't stopped yet.
We then left the library to come back home and this is what we walked outside to!! It was still coming down and the snowflakes were so big.
We came home from the library and none of us could resist playing in it. so we bundled ourselves up in our warmest, non-waterproof attire and played for about an hour. Gracey made her first snow angel while Emily was more interested in sweeping the porch with "sweeping SAM"! "Sweeping Sam" is currently standing in as our snow brush since we don't own one of our own! :) He was a good helper this morning.
Corky came home just then and helped Emily, who was getting pretty cold, go inside and warm up. He then snapped some pictures of mine and Gracey's snowman! Do you know how long it has been since I made a snowman???? A LONG time!
Our neighbors must have been watching from across the street because as we were finishing our snowman, she brought over a handmade scarf for him to wear! Gracey was happy that our snowman could stay warm with it!
And what would make a morning of playing in the snow complete?? Some hot chocolate of course! So that's what we did!
Can you tell I am excited. I told Corky that this snowfall pretty much made my Christmas! He said he wasn't surprised.
There will plenty more pictures today. I am currently drying our wet coats and gloves while the girls nap. When they wake up, it is off for some sledding!

How fun! Looks like you guys are having a GREAT time in the snow. It's snowing here in St. George as we speak. :) Yipee! I'm like you and LOVE the snow. Have you tried downloading a program called Picasa?? If not do it. It's a fun little program and it's free. Just google it.
Hooray! I am so happy the storm didn't fizzle out before it got to you! Merry Christmas!
Ha I love all the post today. I love the picture of Em lookin out the window, its so cute! Also that picture of Gracey screaming with santa needs to be sent to Ellen! She always shows bad santa pictures and that one is dang funny! I love snow! I have just been staring out the window for hours. Skyler thinks I am a freak!
I love it!!! Your girls are so beautiful and getting so big!! call us if you come into town for the holidays!!
We miss you!
What did I tell you... A child's wish is a BIG deal.
I'm a believer!
I'm so glad you got your snow... And I hope you're prepared because you've got a lot more headed your way! The weatherman is saying that here in Vegas we could get another 6 inches overnight on top of what we've already got. Will's school just called to let us know there may be a possible cancellation of school tommorow (they were out today because of parent-teacher conferences).
p.s. The newest version of Picasa has an option for making your photos into a video, that's what I used on my post.
Hey Shauna, I actually do have Picasa but I am not a fan of their collages. They seem to always cut off parts of the picture that I really like or want in there.
More posts to come, we had a great sledding day! I know you are all dying until the next post! ;)
We got tons of snow today too!!

I love the snow too. But, I'm ready for it to be gone now. Way cute pics!
How fun. We tried to make a snowman the other day. The snow wouldn't stick. And I struggle. Love love loved the Christmas card. You have such a cute little family.
Your girls are so old Oh my goodness and so so cute!!! I'm glad they got to play in the snow!
First, your kids are adorable. I love how excited they are in the pictures.
Second, I love that you're a cat person! Penny definitely needs a friend. Oscar was much happier once Moo came along.
