This morning I went outside to water some of my plants and the breeze actually felt a little chilly. Not cold, just cool and nice. I love the fall season and get excited when even the earliest signs of it arrive. So then the wheels started cranking in my head and I text messaged Corky to see if he wanted to meet me and the girls for a picnic at the park for lunch. He agreed so I went and made some sandwiches and put on my exercise clothes. That was actually part of my plan, getting Corky to watch the girls at the park while I ran the perimeter a few times and got a much needed exercise out of the way.
The weather was perfect outside, only about 93 degrees and a cool breeze. Usually it is really WINDY here, so not having gusty winds was enough to make my day.
The girls ate their lunches and played on the park for a while. The sun was beating down but not in a dreadfully hot (like usual) way. It felt so nice in the shade.
On our way home, I heard one of my favorite artists, Secondhand Serenade, on the radio and that made me happy too. I had to text Corky about it. We have been big fans for a couple of years, so to hear him starting to get more recognized and become popular is pretty cool.
We got home and because I had Emily skip her morning nap, she and Gracey went down for their afternoon nap easier than ever.
So far today it has just been one of those good days that is worth noting.

Love those days! I can't wait for fall here too!
gotta love days like that. when both of your kids go down for their naps easy and at the same time...priceless. secondhand serenade? i'm not a fan. justin loves them though. maybe i just heard them way too much or something?
LOVE perfect days. I too get excited at the first signs of fall. We got thunderstorms here a week or so ago and it cooled it down so much that I got so excited I almost unpacked the fall/winter clothes. I had to remind myself though that it was still August. In Vegas. Which meant no hanging out on the balcony in sweaters for a couple more months at least.
Whoa, what? 93 degrees my dear is not the beginning of fall! If it were 93 here it would be considered one of thee hottest days of the year. You want fall take a day like today, 70's with a cool breeze and soon, we'll have the colors to go with it!
And I haven't heard of Secondhand Serenade before and I am really enjoying their music, thanks!
