(I wish I could write this in a way to make it as funny as it truly was tonight at dinner.)
Just the four of us were sitting at the table for dinner, enjoying some stir fry, jasmine rice, and catching up on each other's day. All of the sudden, Gracey's face lights up like she just remembered something and says "Dad! We bought you a shirt for your birthday today!"
I just throw my head back in defeat! I NEVER can surprise Corky with a gift, somehow he always has a hunch....this time, when I finally think he might be surprised, Gracey just blurted it out.
We laughed about where this conversation had gone, especially Corky. He thought that was the funniest things he had heard all day. Finally I say, "Oh well, at least you don't know what it looks like!"
Gracey says very matter-of-factly, "Dad, its striped."

Oh, they're so cute!!! Chaetun does the same thing for birthdays and holidays. I guess we'll have to learn to shop without them. :)

Ha I can totally picture her doing that! I am still laughing!
Way to ruin the surprise Gracey. Too funny. That was me when I was a kid. I HATED surprises... still do in fact. So, I just assumed that everyone else did too. haha :)
Morgan, jackson did the same thing for Lance when i bought cologne...kids! I love the ending-"it's striped!" soo cute!
It must've been really funny to just see the light bulb go on-- like what was it that just brought it back to her attention at that moment? Love it!
Kids..... they are GREAT and not LIARS in the least bit!! How funny
Oh yes, apparently they ALL are super helpful! You should go shopping without the kids so that they can't give it away. Or return that shirt and get him a polka dot one...I bet that'd surprise him! =)
