Where to start? Here is the front of the house.

As you walk into the front entry, this is the view of the living room.

This is the opposite side of the living room. Originally we thought we would put carpeting down in this room, but once we got here we realized it will be nice. Especially with it being a heavy traffic area.

Going back to where you first walk in, to your left is a small hallway where you will see the guest bedroom, the girls bedroom, the bathroom, and the coat/game and toy closet. This is what our soon to be guest room looks like now. At the moment it is our "catch all" room. Please excuse the disaster.

Right next to that room is the girl's bedroom. The bedrooms in this house are quite a bit smaller than our last house, so I am feeling this room is kind of crowded. We might be getting bunk beds, but that is a ways down the road. I am still undecided on how I want to decorate their room. I have never painted or done anything fun, so we will see how it turns out eventually.
Here is one angle of the room....

then the other.

Here is the girl's bathroom. The night we walked into our house for the first time, I immediately told Corky that I wanted to have the sliding shower doors taken off. It makes it a little difficult to bathe little kids with it, and more importantly the cute shower curtain that we have used for a couple of years would go to waste. We couldn't let that happen. Without having to ask him, that was the first "honey-do" that Corky did the next morning. Here is before.

then after!

Now here we have the office/craft room. It didn't look too bad at one point but then we had to shuffle a bunch of stuff around and now this is how it currently sits as we wait for a few more things to get done.

On to the dining room. I love how open it is right now, but it will be changing soon. On that bare wall in the back, that is where we will have the pantry built. You can see in the following picture that on top of the wall is potting shelf. We will build the pantry to be symmetrical to that, molding and all. We think it will look nice. Besides, I don't know how much longer I can go without having a pantry. You can only cram so much into a cupboard.

another angle.

As much as I am over my apple-themed kitchen that I have had for almost 5 years, I don't know what else I would do and I don't want a completely bare kitchen....so the apples stay for now. I don't mind them as much anymore, or maybe it is just that I am excited for my new kitchen.

Here is our master bedroom. What I love most is that I don't have to zigzag between my bed and furniture to get to the bathroom.

And finally, the master bathroom. Why is that the bathrooms always get finished off before anything else? In my case, because they are the smallest and less work. You spend hardly any time in them but walk away feeling like you have accomplished at least something.

And I think that is about it. Our carpet has been ordered and will go into each of the bedrooms. The backyard isn't anything to die for but it isn't nearly as small as I thought it was. It has no grass or landscape of any kind. other than weeds, random rose bushes, and what we think is an apricot tree. (our neighbor Bob at least thinks that is what it is)
Sorry for all the pictures but thanks for looking. We are excited and feel very fortunate to live here. Things worked out for us perfectly and we look forward to being here for a long time.

So fun to have a new house! I love the pictures of your church, too. That was fun to see. Good luck with all the moving in process!
I love it, morgan. Super nice! I like the wood through out... but carpet is way more homey feeling for sure. Gotta have some carpet. I'm excited for you guys!! Love your Ikea book shelf too!
how fun! looks like a GREAT house and i love the hardwood flooring, but yes Carpet is a must in bedrooms! enjoy!
Your new house is way nice! How is it you manage to have it all put together so nicely already? We have been in ours for almost 4 months and your is way more decorated, etc. guess I am just being lazy.
It was fun to see some pictures of Ft. Irwin, reminded me of going there to pick my little brother up after he got home from Iraq.
Congratulations on the new house!!!
I just read all your posts about the move and your new home. So exciting! I love your house, it looks so bright and open! :)
I'm glad things are going well, I've been thinking about you guys and hoping all would go smoothly. :)
Congrats on finally being moved in your very own house! It looks great & you've gotten so much done already too! So how is the neighborhood?
I love it too.
I love how big your bedroom is...and the jacuzzi tub?..come on!
Cute, cute, cute! Very exciting!
How exciting! Our last house didn't have a pantry and I hated it!!!! We only lived there for about a year and even though there were several cabinets...it just didn't suffice! So good luck getting your pantry done quick!
Congratulations!! :D
I love it! Sounds like so much fun! You'll soon have all ideas come popping out on how to decorate and paint the rooms you are unsure of! I'm so excited for you guys!
Oh Morgan I love your new house! It is so big (says the lady that lives in an apartment)! Anyway, I am jealous! I dream of that kind of square footage!
You did a great job decorating the place. It looks great!
It looks really nice, Morgan!! Does feel good to have your OWN home? Congrats to you guys!!
So Cute!! The carpet in the bedrooms will be so nice. Let me give you a little advise. My whole house (except bedr.) is wood floor and it's SOOOOOOOOOO loud. I can't stand it. We finally got a big area rug in the living room and it has helped a ton. Although the wood is nice for cleaning spills and such, you kind of have to sweep everyday, you just notice every little thing way more. Just a little FYI.
I am so glad to hear you are getting settled in your new beautiful home. I bet it is so nice to have something to call yours - after having the military own you for so long. I am so jealous. I am so happy for you guys. We miss you so much. Danielle misses you in activity days and the kids all miss their awesome music lady. Kingman is lucky to have you. Dennis is thinking of taking us back to Germany once more before getting out - ugh! I am having mixed feelings - I want to go back to Germany so much, but I also want to get out and on our own, too. I hate decisions.
YAY Morgan! I am so excited for you guys! There is something so refreshing about getting a new house all organized....exhausting, but refreshing! :) Have so much fun. I am glad to see you guys getting settled.
It's beautiful Mo! I am so excited for you guys! I love all the counter space in the kitchen! Be sure to update once you have decorated! Love love love it!
Congrats! Your new home is so beautiful. The hard wood makes it look so open. Anyway, I hope you are just lovin it!
Morgan, I am doing the same thing-unpacking and reorganizing as we adjust to new spaces and lay-outs. YOur house is GORGEOUS!!!Love the wood floors..!
Morgan, your house is so cute! Love it! I think my favorite is your kitchen/dining area. So happy and put together.
I LOVE it!!!
Very fun. How exciting to be in your own place. I love it.
your house is great! we're looking into buying our first house and i'm sure it won't be near as nice as yours. so i'm totally jealous! but so happy for you guys!
Too many comments--but I wanted to say that I love it too. I love my wood floors in the living area, they are easy and pretty I think. Ditto on the carpet in the bedrooms, it's nice to have a "softer" place. Congrats again on the move, job and house!
I love all the wood floors in your house, we have them in our living room and kitchen but I think it would be so fun all through out the house! Your house looks great, congrats!
WOW WOW WOW!! What an AMAZING house, I love everything about it! Congrats!
love it-- so fun to picture where you are... good choice on keeping the shower curtain-- so cute! Bet Gracey's hooded Nemo towel is perfect in there. Your home is beautiful-- love the openess... We're full of boxes too~ It's an overwhelming thing-- I told Roarke we should have stayed in the army longer just to get more experience with being better (more efficient) movers!
