Proactiv, a true and loyal friend.

Yes, its true! It always pulls through for me when I am in desperate need, such as now. I swear that the older I am getting, the worse my acne is. I have either been using prescriptions soaps and creams, or Proactiv for the past few years. Just as I begin to embrace my fair skin, all these red pimples decide to show up...leaving me with what could be porcelain skin, instead looking like a 13 year girl who is wearing her first training bra. I always go running back to my Proactiv though. Our friendship is quite the cycle. I start using it and it clears me up immediately and I stay quite clear for a month or so. Then my skin goes back to normal so I stop using it. After a few months of just using my dove soap and benzoil peroxide, or my acne-aid soap and scrubber, I come running back to Proactiv, begging for her forgiveness and her help!!

And if any of you have used it lately, how about the new snap lids instead of the stupid lids that you have to twist on and off. Genius, I tell ya! AND the new moisturizer with SPF 15. That's what I am talking about!!

FYI-Every single picture of me from Emily's hospital stay was touched up, so don't go saying "you don't have acne" or "you don't need acne medication".

Thank you photoshop, another dear and trusted friend of mine.

I have FINALLY been using it for the last two months. My mom was sending me bottles like a year ago (sans toner, she uses that but has to buy the whole set). I finally tried it and am really pleased! I still get some zits, but they go away fast and aren't heinously big like before.

I thought I was the only one that touched up the zits on my face! I feel justified!

I'm totally with you on this Morgan. Man if I miss one day my face totally breaks out. I love it and have been using it for almost 6 years. Holy cow!

I never would have known! I had terrible acne when I was pregnant, can you use it then too?

Morgan- This is Caralee(banks)baker, we went to PVHS together. I was lurking on your blog and read about your sweet daughter and all she has been through! Wow! I have been in your shoes and I know exactly how scary it is having your baby life flighted and so sick! Not knowing what is going to happen to your sweet baby is so heart breaking and every mothers nightmare! My baby was life flighted to Primary Children's and had open heart surgery at two weeks old! You are both amazing parents, your sweet daughter is blessed to have you! I hope that this is last of your baby's struggles and that she recovers quickly!

Honestly I can't say I have ever used Proactiv, but I have heard amazing things about it. Several of my friends use it religiously and my kid brother uses it. If I ever have skin problems believe me I will turn to Proactiv!

So funny! I think I had some sort of reaction to proactive. I had acne in college so I started using it & it got soooo much worse. But cleared right up again when I switched back to regular Dove. Weird, eh?
