So a strong tradition that we got to participate in for the first time is the Kids Parade. All children in town (or outside of town if you want) are invited to put on the Halloween costumes and show them off in the parade. They line up in sections, age groups, schools, or floats and walk downtown on the main street. Like any parade, there are people lined up and down the road to cheer them on.
We were lucky to have been able to ride on a float provided by Emily's preschool. It was fun to be up higher and the girls felt like royalty waving to everyone.
I couldn't get over how grown up Gracey looked with a touch of make up on her eyes.
And Emily just looked adorable in her alligator costume, even though she didn't want to wear the head after about 10 minutes.
I had my cell phone so was able to text Corky and let him know when we were coming, this was the view of him from where we were in the parade.
The girls had a blast and I had a ton of fun being a part of it with them.
