I was told for weeks that in order to ensure a good spot for the parade, that I should park our chairs the day before. I was assured countless times that our chairs were safe. Nobody steals or moves them, it's an unwritten rule that this town goes by. I just though my "city-living" made me skeptical so we did just that. Out of 80,000 people, can you guess who had 2 chairs stolen? Yep, us. I was quite annoyed at first. I walked up and down the street trying to spot our chairs and was prepared to let who ever took them really have a piece of my mind. We didn't see them, but I was committed to enjoying the parade anyway.

It really was a lot of fun. It was fun for me to spot people that I know or cheer on some of the Young Woman who play in the marching bands in surrounding towns. I am mainly in love with the tradition and how much this town loves what they do!
