Kansas Concert

My dad gave us some tickets to the Kansas concert! They were performing at the Tuachan Amphitheater. How cool is that? Kansas is a 35 year old rock band that were around before I was born....and they still rock! It was so much fun! After the concert, I told my dad that if I had to choose 5 songs that I feel I grew up with, this song would definitely one of them.

And on another note, did you know I married an Oompa Loompa? Just kidding, honey!! Corky had been golfing that day and forgot the sunblock. The combination of that, then sitting next to me, and me being white and the closest to the flash, his "orangeness" was inevitable!

Corky! Ouch! I am always after ROarke about sunblock to which he always says, I'll put it on when I get there...and then I know I have a less than 50% chance.
Some people have to learn the hard way.
p.s. You are very cool to be going to all these concerts. Except for my blog playlist, it's mostly Old Macdonald and other nursery faves that is the soundtrack to our life.

Thanks for helping me get back on your blog-- I've missed it!

Your Oompa-Loompa comment had me laughing so hard! Journey always reminds me of my childhood. Gotta love the old school stuff!
