Emily has been using the toilet every day this past week! It is still sporadic because I haven't had the time to dedicate my focus only on her using the bathroom, but we are pretty excited. Only about a month ago she wouldn't go anywhere near the toilet. Out of the blue she changed her mind and began to just sit on it. That was cool with me, it was one step closer. But finally this week she began to actually do something....#1 and #2 in fact! (she'll love reading that when she is older!)
I realize full well that this might not last long and it still may be a while before she is out of diapers. I am just excited to see some kind of light at the end of our Huggie Tunnel!

Woo hoo!!! What a big step!! Very exciting!
Yay!!! Good job Emily!
Rori will sit on it but so far nothing beyond that. One day... :)
Yeah!
I'm so jealous. I've been trying everything with Joseph and he's still not even close. He'll be 3 in a month and I really don't want to have 3 kids in diapers! I guess I have until June!
How exciting for you! So nice that girls usually do it on their own and at a younger age. I'm not even going to attempt it with Keller until the end of the summer when we are done with any kind of traveling.
I don't think we will ever be out of diapers. As soon as I get one potty trained I get pregnant then so on and so forth. That is exciting for you though. Diapers are such a huge nasty expense.
How exciting! Rex does good some days and not so good others. He is definitely not interested in #2 yet! Yeah for Emily!
So jealous! I can't wait until Arya decides that the potty is the happening thing.
Congrats and good luck!!
Hello Whipple Family! We just wanted to drop a line to say hello. Hope we can be blog friends.
Love Andy and Melissa Stockhoff
My light at the end of the tunnel is far away. I realised the other day that I've been changing diapers for 8 yrs next month. I have another 2 1/2 yrs or so to go. Depressing!!!
Hooray! I had that with Jacob (but I won't tell you he has totally regressed now...oops). It does give one reason to hope!
I am glad to hear the potty training is going so well!! And that is too funny... because this "guy" walked into the reception and i thought... man that guy looks just like this friend of mine!! And turns out "he" is related to you!! That is too funny!! It would have been good to see you... i hope you are enjoying kingman!!
That light at the end of your tunnel until #3 is on the scene...
